I did the farm open day, lots of people turned up and Sharon did a fantastic job of organising the event. It was just a bit unfortunate that not many people ventured into the craft bit...typical British reserve I think! People are frightened of venturing into places where people are standing around selling, I think they feel guilty if they don't buy, which is silly really because nobody minds! Anyway, I think next year if they cordon off one of the exits so that it forces people through the craft bit and have the face painting in with the crafts it should be more successful for the crafters.
Although I didn't sell much I did meet lots of nice fellow crafters who told me of all the good events to go to and gave me advice on what things to sell. It looks like I might be attending another craft fair in September so it's not all bad!
Anyway, I have lots of stock and I'm in a good mood because I'm off to Crete this Tuesday so I'm doing a bit giveaway of a selection of the things from my stall, including one of my cotton bags, a lavender-filled bag, a cute teddy bear and a 1950s framed post card. Anyone is welcome to enter the draw by leaving a comment at the end of the post, even if you've never left a comment before, don't be shy! I'll draw a winner at random on the 11th June when I get back.
