Adopting an ex battery hen...

I'm so excited, we've decided to add to our brood of chooks and rescue an ex battery hen. I know it's only one hen, but at least that one hen will have a nice life pootling about in the garden, digging and doing all the things that chickens do.

I've just donated £10 to the cause, I think it's such a lovely idea. I think more people should get chickens, not only are they fantastic pets but you get fresh eggs every morning! What more could you ask for?!
