Carrie Underwood makes her feature film debut in the upcoming "Soul Surfer," and the teaser trailer is out today.

The trailer contains no dialogue, but looks like it will be a feel-good, inspiring story based off of a true story about a girl who loses her arm in a shark attack.

The protagonist is Bethany Hamilton, played by AnnaSophia Robb, who loses her left arm while surfing in a shark attack.

The film focuses on her recovery and the process of trying to figure out how to continue doing what she loves after such an event.

Underwood plays a motivating church youth leader who will likely help the girl begin surfing again.

The film will be Carrie Underwood’s first big screen film. Last year, she won an Academy of Country Music Award for “Entertainer of the Year.”

"Soul Surfer" hits theaters in April.
