4 Ways to Manicure in Minutes

1. Soak, Clean, Push:- To start, soak hands in olive oil to nourish the skin. Or massage cuticle oil around your fingertips then gently push the cuticles back with an orange-wood stick wrapped in cotton to give your nails a professionally groomed look. "Clean your nails before painting, Oil-free fingers will stop polish from peeling off."

2. Get In Shape:- The 'Square-oval' nail shape is over. This season, it's all about delicate almond shape, which adds length to fingers. Trim nails with clippers, then file each nail in one direction, towards the tip, using an emery board. Don't file the corners because they give extra strength to the nail. Gently buff and polish the entire nail bed in a circular motion to remove any ridges.

3. Polish Up:- Time for the base coat, which protects the nail bed from staining and gives the polish a smooth surface to adhere to. Wipe the brush front and back on the rim of the bottle to ensure even distribution, then apply with just three strokes - one up the centre and one either side. Begin at the base of your nail and steadily bring the brush over and under the tips to stop chipping.

4. Hang Onto Your Hue:- For the ultimate shine, apply a final layer of top coat to lock in the colour and prevent any nasty chips. Can't stay in the lines? Dab a cotton bud with nail polish remover to get rid of any telltale signs on your fingertips.

Don't ruin all your hard work with that pesky sheet imprint. Instead, hold off the top coat until the morning for super shiny nails.
