Much is happening at Tinyholder HQ - lots of weekends away visiting, weekends spent sorting rooms out, tidying and building sheds/clearing the garage to make way for Tim's beloved new car (boys and their toys). Photos will follow tomorrow of the shed and the front of the house looking pretty. :-)
For now, I wanted to do a post about my recent foray into natural hair products. Much as I'd love to, I really don't have the time to concoct my own homemade products, but I have found some wonderful products online. Last year my hair was really shiny and smooth, but after using permenant hair dye I've found it's gone so dry and lacklustre. My mum always used to go on about how great henna is, but the smell and the hours of preparation etc always put me off trying it. After doing some research though I found that you can buy pre-made henna cream. The great thing is that there's no mixing required and that if you use only half the bottle you can save the rest for when your roots need touching up. Although you do need to leave it on for a good hour (more if possible) to cover grey, I think it's wonderful!! The grey hairs go red and the rest of my hair stays dark brown so you get these wonderful highlights.
The other discovery I've made is this wonderful stuff - Amla (Indian Gooseberry) oil. It is supposed to promote folicle growth. Whether it does or not I don't know, but it does smell great and makes my hair nice and silky and smooth.
I have a day off on Monday so I'm treating myself to a hair cut - I'm thinking something like Victoria Beckham's short hair cut. What do you think? My hair's quite similar to hers so I hope it will be quite easy to maintain and should get rid of my damaged hair making way for nice shiny hair again (well that's the theory anyway!).
More updates tomorrow and Monday, promise!
Happy halloween!
